25 Things About Me

I thought I would join the band wagon and tell you some things about me interesting or not. 

1. I am the youngest of 5 children.  I have 3 brothers and 1 sister.
2. My oldest brother died in a car accident at age 35
3. My oldest brother was friends with Ted Bundy. 
   
4. I attended UC Santa Cruz, and I lived in the dorms for the first year. (that is an article or two)
5. I have played the piano since age 5.
6. My mother died from breast cancer.
7. I have red/auburn hair.
8. My father served in WWII and received a purple heart, which I have now.  He died 10 years ago.
   
9. I hate escalators.  I fell down one, when I was little.
10. My mother met Clark Gable.  He used to fish in the town that she lived in.
11. I competed for many years in synchronized swimming.
12. One of my brother's has been renamed Uncle Buck.  No one in the family calls him by his real name any more.
13. I was a hired clown as a side job during college.  I performed at Santa Cruz special events and birthday parties.
14. One of my siblings is HIV positive.
15. My ex husband's cousin is Leif Garrett.  I have met the has been. 
    
16. I was president of the Key Club (Kiwanis) in high school.
17. I am a huge Sacramento Kings fan, even though they lose all the time.
18. I learned to read at age 2 1/2.
19. I was a camp counselor at a Jewish camp in Yosemite.  I led kids on backpacking trips, and the ropes course.  I am not Jewish, but know Jewish prayers now.  I ate Kosher for the whole summer.
20. I was bit by a dog at age 3 so severly on the hand that the dog had to be put down.
21. I have a calico cat named Sugar.
22. I am a special education advocate.
23. I have never ridden a horse, but I want to some day.
24. My ex husband is gay.  It just didn't work out, when I found out.
25. My best date ever was flying through Yosemite Valley in a two seater Cessna, and doing a loop upside down.
