The author offers comforting words to cope with fear and suffering in a world where such things cannot be avoided because “it’s where choice exists.” Oluwadahunsi also addresses our human and divine dichotomy with passages that instruct on the care and nurturing of the soul in spite of the failings of the flesh.

The vignettes act as reminders of lessons many people learned as children about being grateful and open to life’s blessings. In “A Tale of Two Sillies” the old adage “be careful what you wish for” is illustrated as characters covet their neighbors’ possessions with disastrous results. The theme of “Grace” is learning the skill of abandoning our fears and desires to faith and being open when prayers are answered.

Most of the entries are sparse and can be read in conjunction with the Bible or simply enjoyed alone as a support in faith building.
