WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I just got back from the DNC Winter Meeting, where John Edwards rocked the house and got the best reception of any candidate! (Contrary to what you will undoubtedly hear in the mainstream media.) He got repeated standing ovations in the middle of the speech!
I recorded these videos from way in the back.
You can't see John, except for a blur, but you can catch the excitement of the crowd and hear the audio.
My video card, unfortunately, ran out before the speech was over. I hope you enjoy this anyway. He stole the show!!! If the MSM isn't reporting it, that is a crime.
I took extensive notes about speeches by all the candidates that were there today. The speakers were Chris Dodd, Barack Obama, Wesley Clark, John Edwards, Dennis Kucinich, and Hillary Clinton. I will have MUCH more on this meeting after I get a chance to write my notes up, but for now, enjoy the videos.

My next choice is Hillary. I think she is next-most-qualified, and I respect her political experience and savvy. Is she honest, a paragon of virtue? Hell no, and none of the others are either. I also think it's time we had a woman president, and she is the best and most qualified woman in this country.
Okay, folks. Unload on me. I'm ready to duck the bricks and stones. You'll never hit me. Nyah, nyah!
By the way, Bert, I take humbrage against these young bucks giving us older guys a bad time..........
Go John!
Dave
I have high respect for Gore, so I don't doubt that if he decided to run, he would be a tough competitor. I know several Democrats who will vote for the person with the best platform on global warming. That's how urgent some of us see this problem to be, and the UN's scientific report, released yesterday, confirms that. That said, a presidential candidate cannot (or should not) run on one issue. There are too many other things that the president has to deal with. Gore is so focused on global warming right now, that I doubt he wants to be distracted from it by a presidential race.
Bert, I think Gore would be a great president too. As I said, I have a lot of respect for him.
As for Hillary Clinton, I think she's under the influence of too many lobbyists. Please, feel free to vote for someone that even you feel is dishonest if you want to, but that's not for me. I will vote for someone who doesn't take money from PACs and lobbyists, someone who I believe tells me what he really thinks and will make an honest effort to represent the American people. I will vote for John Edwards.
Mark, I don't believe that most Americans don't think that Gore won Florida, but if they do, they are wrong. There's pretty solid evidence of that. Gore is not an extremist. He is an environmentalist who stands up for his values. On most other issues, he has historically been a centrist.
David, thank you. Don, you too.
Greg, what is it that makes you think your predictions have any more validity than the predictions of anyone else? I know you've made vague statements in the past about being a pollster, but given the nature of the Internet, people will say anything. If you want us to believe that you have some credibility on this, you're going to have to tell us what your credentials are and who you work for.
Bongo, better than inventing the Internet? Is that even possible? If John Edwards does something better than that, I think all Jedi will say "the force is strong with this one."
But seriously, for anyone reading this who might take our joke the wrong way, Al Gore never even said he did invent the Internet. He made a comment that was taken out of context.
Good post, BTW.
As to your claim that i imply I have more predictive ability than others, I have NEVER said anything close to that nor do i believe it. I simply mention that so that you or others sense that I have exsperience in the field, the same way I like to know if a Gather author has been published.
You are obviously very intelligent, Astrogirl. But, I'm guessing you must be fairly young, because I sense some healthy and intelligent defensiveness when it comes to something you strongly believe in, such as John Edward's candidacy.
