The cold has set in here in St. Paul, which makes me seek the warmth of a good book. And since it's the season of St. Valentine, why not something a little on the romantic side? It doesn't have to be the gushy lovey stuff; Mary Oliver's poem on peonies does it for me... it's more like a celebration of a deep love of life. On a cold day, just the thought of spring seems awfully romantic...
So what are you reading? What brings you light and warmth in this otherwise cold and dark season?
Can't wait to read about it...

I am determined to read Jimmy Carter's Palestine Peace Not Apartheid this month before Professor Dershowitz disappears from gather, but recently received Passionate Minds: The Great Love Affair of the Enlightenment as a gift and am dying to read that one, too.
