I have heard that bad things come in threes, but our luck since Thanksgiving of 2006 has just been the worst ever in the history of my life of bad things happening. When is all this gonna stop. I really think that we have dealt with enough to warrant good times to come for at least the next 10 years.
Here is the list of all that has happened in the last 2 months.
- A baby died in our family. She was born too early, but her twin brother survived. They were born at 6 months gestation.
- My sister decided that life was not worth living for anymore and killed herself by shooting herself in the stomach with a gun.
- My mother-in-law fell out of the big truck's trailer and broke her hip.
- My daughter's grandmother on her fathers side became very ill. It ended up she had cancer throughout her body and died Christmas morning.
- The week before Christmas one of my friends sons came down with meningitis. He is doing well now.
- The week after Christmas, another friend of mine ended up having emergency surgery to remove her appendix.
- The first week in the year, my daughter's step brother on her dad's side ended up having an emergency surgery to have his appendix removed.
- My grandmother ended up in the hospital and has open heart surgery.
- My son ended up cutting his foot on glass and had stitches put in his toe.
- My daughter ended up with strep throat bad enough that she got the rash that goes with it.
- My youngest son fell off a chair and almost put his teeth through his lip. Doc said it was bad enough for stitches, but due to the fact the cut was in his mouth they were not stitching it.
- Our dog was poisoned with antifreeze. She is doing well now by the way and has made a complete recovery.
So, if you think things are going bad for you so far this year just remember there are others out there LIKE ME, who just cannot seem to quit having bad things happen.
I wish everyone a better year than I have had and It's only January.

Bad things do happen to all sorts of people but in the midst of it all--- God IS there! And His plea this: " come unto me all who are burdened and heavy ladened and I will give you rest..."

If you are having bad times now they have come and they will pass and if you are going through good times ... well... Heres a 10 to add a little brightness and my prayers for this season of bad times to pass quickly for you and your family.
And I totally understand the comment Rod.. of God saying "Do you hear me now?".. he has done that to me too many times to count.

I dunno why when bad things happen to us it's like the old sayin "when it rains it pours" but unfortunately it does. You sure have had yer share of bad things. We are in the same boat with bad things happenin and I just wonder when it will ever end and things will go good again. 2006 was a BAD year all around and so far 2007 is just as bad if not worse. Unless a miracle happens and we get money to pay the taxes and Insurance premiums on our house we will loose our home as it will be considered a default on the mortgage. Tryin to get house refinanced but due to the wicked hurricane seasons of 2004, 2005 here in Florida no lenders want to refinance a manufactured home. Alot of other bad stuff goin on here so I know exactly what yer goin through and the feelings. You ask Why Us?, What did we Do???.
I just wonder why these things happen the way they do?
Hope things get better and improve for you and yours Trish. I don't post on the Yahoo forums much anymore. I've gone more into blog sites and this is my latest one I joined.
