We await our destiny revealing itself to us in the future as if destiny is inextricably intertwined with the future and can never exist in the present, as if an essential and inherent condition of the nature of destiny is that it must exist in the future.
And so we keep postponing our real existence to the days of tomorrow, when our fate will finally be fulfilled and only then do we feel that we can begin to genuinely live.

I will continue to put my eggs into the same basket as before, the now basket. I tried to adjust the future by starting a citizen's committee set to make an old set of rail road tracks into a nature walk. It turned into a street. For me now the future basket is the children and they will make their own destiny. Mine is set in concrete and waiting to be lowered into the ground with all the other good intented but not wanted ideas of the future. It would seem the same basket as yours said differently. This could have been or somethng similar was written about by me some time ago. Strange how different minds work on the same wave-length at times. Maybe we are brothers with different mothers.?
Quotes such as these make my brain ache in a good way.
