Cute little fella, but nonetheless, I would have been a bit scared if he fell off on his own. Cute or not, if a stuffed animal has no batteries (and if so isn't turned on), I expect them to stay put and would be startled if they up and moved like you described.

On battery operated toys, I almost never keep the battery in! for all the scary reasons...he is cute isn't he, my daughter had given him to me.
