Home today..

My daughter woke up this morning with a sore throat, and obviously too sick to go to school. I gave her some tylenol and juice and sent her to the couch to watch cartoons. I had to send an email to work to let them know that I would not be there today. I had an important conference call scheduled today, but duty calls. I guess it is a Godsend. I really didn't want to go to work anyway. I will be stuck at home today, and hope to catch up on all my connections here on Gather.

Thanks for all the well wishes. When I called the school to report her absence, the attendance clerk said that there were a lot of students out today. There seems to be something going around. I know that she will be alright, so I am really enjoying the day to just veg. I could do housework.....nope. Reading, nap, bath, paint my nails, sounds so much better. As long as I keep the tylenol and fluids pumed into her and the cartoons running, I will have a nice day of relaxation.

Enjoy the company of your daughter, pamper her and spend some quality time with her and enjoy your day off from work. Family should always come first.
