I have always kept the Sabbath day set apart as a day attending church, of studying scriptures and spending time with family. I have always tried to not get online or shop. Today, we had a major snow storm so church was closed after the first hour. We came home, had lunch and my husband had to work. I went against my own rule and got online. I even posted some comments and answered others discussion. In fact, here I sit at the computer and it is still Sunday. Here is my problem: I am making so many mistakes . I am feeling very guilty for being online and wondered if anyone else tries to stay off line on Sundays? What do you usually do on Sundays?
I do know that next Sunday, I will be stronger and try harder to stay offline. The money that I make on mylots is not worth this guilty feeling that I am feeling right now. Share your Sunday activities with me..

I devote time to worship, praise, prayer and study everyday but until recently while dealing with Hubby's accident (and some morning sickness) I was also online everyday as well - but always had something else going at the same time - baking a cake, running the washer or dishwasher, making phone calls, etc.,
If you feel so guilty about what has happened may I suggest you figure out what you earned today on My Lots and give something extra in the offering plate next Sunday?
Connie, I think you maybe just felt weird because church was cut short. When we can't go for some reason we have regular TV preachers we like, and we all settle down and watch them together, and that helps keep us on track for the week. :) God still loves you, sweetie--you never know, there might have been someone who needed to hear from you (and Him!) today out in cyberspace. Debra had a good idea, though--I never knew a church that couldn't make good use of a little extra!
This time of year we rarely do anything as there's just nothing to do. However in nicer weather we might add a trip to the zoo or park to the routine. Also, I do the same work online that I do every other day of the week.
I think you may be right. I am a schedule person and my schedule was knocked off by church closeing early.
Dorine,
I do set rules and goals for myself on things that are important to me. I try to be the best that I can be. So in order to do this I set goals and try to reach them.
If I were snowed in or whatever, as long as we were well, we would probably devote time to prayer and study together. Not a replacement for church at its full effect, but as long as we did the best we could I'm sure Gog would be pleased.
But after that, no problem with doing other stuff.
Sunday is a day of rest and relaxation. Usually we don't go anywhere else and we all take a nap. Hubby will watch football, but usually we try to limit TV. With the games yesterday that wasn't going to happen. Usually the internet is limited, but I was bored because of the TV games and no hubby to talk to.
This is what makes life interesting, everyone is different. Differences doesn't mean anyone is wrong though. We have to follow our hearts and what the Lord tells us to do. Being at church isn't the same as not being thre, BUT it is however only a building and one can worship God anywhere anytime. : )
This Sunday is going to be horrible. I am not looking forward to it. I'm looking forward to seeing my sis Dawne, but the rest is going to suck. We've got to load a moving van full of our other absentee sisters stuff ... I'd go into more detail but I'm tired of certain family members stalking me and talking about what I post online.
