Dream - Someone Is Trying to Take My Baby

Selene, freaky but I think it's normal. I had the same issue when my kids were little. If you watch a lot of America's Most Wanted then that is probably why you dreamed it that way. Some of us have other versions and variations. I had seen the movie Dead Calm (I think it was called) with Nicole Kidman where at the beginning of the movie the kid unstraps himself and then she is in a wreck and he goes through the window. I actually caused an accident checking to make sure my son hadn't unstrapped himself -even though I had no reason to believe he had. And then i saw The Other Side of hte Ocean. It was worst with my youngest though. Because I am deaf I was always paranoid of the ladies (and men) who'd talk to my kids in shopping lines. Finally, I got those little children's leashes - that your baby is too young for. Personally, I think it is a normal part of motherhood though unless it goes to extremes :)

as far as dreams go, thats scary. I dont have any children of my own so I cant imagine the feelings such a dream would evoke.

I however have all sorts of violent dreams. where I see violence done to others, where I can do nothing but watch.
there is a sense of powerless ness to such dreams. when i know i am dreaming i can change the dream. but the next day i wont feel as rested as I do when I just dream and never realize while dreaming that it is just a dream and hence I dont take over with conscious control.

I had dreams like that all the time when my kids were babies. I had a recurring dream that I left the baby at home while I left to go shopping.

I have dreams like that all the time of me running after perps who try to kidnap my kids... they are so horrible and I even wake up crying and cannot go back to sleep for hours... sometimes I even have had to go and check the kids to settle the fears..

Just means your mommy instincts are kicking in high gear and you are very normal.
