Tonight we're eating soy burgers. Have you ever tried these delightful soy patties? Just put them in an iron skillet with a bit of olive oil for a few minutes. They taste delicious between two slices of slightly toasted sour dough bread. I always add a bit of Grey Poupon mustard. Of course, I still have loads of tomatoes growing so I'll add a couple of slices. Also, some Monterey Jack cheese will add to the taste. I'm not the one doing this bit of gourmet cooking. I'm referring to the good ole boy that I'm married to. He's in there watching Deal or No Deal, some mindless thing that I just can't watch. I'll just write this mindless article instead. Ok, so tell me what you're having for supper or as I really say, dinner. Whatever it is, I hope you're enjoying it as much as I'll enjoy my simple but delicious dish. Salud.

No thx.
glad your hubbie eats his veggies now! Salud.
We had fresh tomato salad with home-cooked garbanzo beans, onions, hungarian hot wax pepper tossed with blue cheese bits and sprinkled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, grilled pork chops, and eggplant stew. I had made a small loaf of 90 minute whole wheat bread in the am and slathered that with butter, of course!! :) Add a lovely glass of Merlot and a few cold beers for Hubby provided the liquids. :)Plant City Strawberries on top of ice cream finished the evening of eating.
I love these little conversations you start. It's like having my SISTER next door!

last night was soy chick'n strips with tandoori paste, garam masala cabbage and brown basmati rice with cardamom pods - an impromptu indian feast!
I guess if you can't find real meat, that will have to do. You don't have to go buy your meat. Just drive by a farm (at night) that has Cow's. Did you know cows sleep standing up? Just climb over the fence and push one. The cow will hit the ground like a ton of bricks. That's when you pull out the RAMBOO knife.
Pick which ever section of the cow you like and slice it off. Leave a sign for the farmer saying something like "Have you ever tried Soy Burgers? Then you can understand why I needed your cow".
Bring the slap of meat home, clean it up a little and make some real burgers!
It's that SIMPLE!
William Duda! Sopa de frijoles (Bean soup) is one of my favorites especially the 15 bean soup stuff. Sorry she's your ex but glad you're on Gather! Salud.

i had a huge salad with a homemade garlic/balsamic vinaigrette. i loved it. 3 kinds of colored peppers, cukes, honey turkey, croutons, carrots, avocado, watercress, lettuce (haha), etc. etc. and it was so good. ed had spaghetti. lillie had spaghetti noodles with butter, and a turkey rollup (put ketchup in the middle of a slice of turkey, roll it up. sigh). i just couldn't deal with hot food for dinner tonight. weird, eh?
