I have been going nuts trying to find something that would meet my specifications for guided meditation. I really didn't want to order anything off of the Internet because I hate to send the money o something that I am not sure is going to work. I could end up spending a fortune just finding the right one for me.
So I decided to go on a hunt around Hot Springs to find what I was looking for. I went to Books-A-Million first because I figured that would be the most likely place to find what i am looking for. Wrong, they have books but no guided meditation Cd's. Okay no big deal I will just go to the mall to FYE surely they would have it. Wrong again. Although I did find a great three CD set of relaxing sounds. Then I went to Walden Books thinking maybe, just maybe they would have it. No such luck so I decided to look at Wal-Mart. I pretty much knew that would be a no go but I had to try.
So back online I go to search and search to find what I need. Well to my shock and amazement I found one that is free. This site will email you “lessons” on relaxing and meditation. The first lesson is mainly an introduction to their system but the second lesson has a guided meditation that you can either listen to online or you can download it to your computer. Did I mention this is FREE?
I really didn't expect a whole lot for free. So i was pleasantly surprised by the first meditation session. I found myself relaxing like I have not done in a long time. I was even able to go to sleep without having to take my sleeping pill. I have been taking these sleeping pills since January of last year. So to not have to take one to go to sleep was really shocking.
It recommended not laying down at first because of the possibility of falling asleep. I personally found that I just couldn't seem to relax good enough sitting up, but then again I was sitting on the bed Indian style so it was a tad bit difficult to relax my legs when they started going numb from sitting that way for so long. So, I lay down and got more comfortable. After that it was amazing how quickly I was able to get into the meditation and relax.
You are told during the introduction that if you have to open your eyes you should start the session over again. And I found that this really was necessary to do after opening my eyes once. I am still on the first guided meditation download. The reason i am still on the first one is because it worked so well the first time i am going to try it a couple more times before moving on to the next lesson just to get a little more comfortable with the whole meditation thing as I have never done it before.
I think this would really be beneficial for anyone that is looking for some kind of guided meditation. It doesn't go into spirituality or anything like that. It is strictly teaching you how to relax different parts of your body and learning to feel the blood flow and warm sensations then the relaxation.
I encourage anyone who is wanting to learn to meditate or learn how to relax to give this a try. After all, it is free so you have nothing to lose by trying it. I would like any feedback that you have if you try it. I am curious to see what others think about it.
After entering your email address and being told that the first lesson will be sent to your email I would suggest checking your spam box if you have one turned on. My first lesson ended up in my spam box. I have since added them to my address book so that i do not miss any of my lessons.
Here is the link to sign up to try it:

Just so that you know, I get nothing out of this link. I did send a few emails to a couple of friends that i thought would benefit from this but this is not a referral link. I just hate when people post links and have their referral code hidden in it, if you want to refer me be honest about it but I don't like to be tricked into it so I would not stoop to that level just to get referrals. Also you can do a search for Silva ultra mind system.
I hope that you are able to benefit from this as i think i will.

Thank you for the info!
But.....I am excited to say that in the three nights that I have using this guided voice meditation I have not had to take my sleeping pill.
I am so excited that already after just the first two "lessons" and only one being voice guided that I have had such great results.
Those of you that try this please come back and let me know what you think of it and if it helps you.
I guess my new moto should be "Meditate not medicate"
This came out before EST and was overshadowed by the more controversial group.
One of the parts I remember reading about in Silva is the ability to examine your own or another's body for medical diagnosis.
Sounds great.
