I saw this in today's Oregonian -- my dad cut it out of the paper for me, actually -- and was quite amused. That's one big kitty.

20 pounds is not that fat - I have 8 cats that are at least 20 pounds. This summer I adopted out a 47 pound cat. Yes, indeed and I do have pictures. The cat was found at a Penzoil place and animal control picked it up. Apparently, from what we figured out was that someone fed the cat chicken forever and maybe the person got sick and the relatives through the cat out. The cat is yellow and a fixed female. Animal control gave it to me as he didn't have the heart to take it in as it would be put down immediately. I gave it to a friend - she says it's losing weight. I hope it makes it until summer as I'd like to get it back - it's very sweet. Yes, 47 pounds...Anyway, glad the guy was reunited with the Kitty - I'll go read the story now! SAlud.

Holy moly! The thing that is so funny about this is that I heard my husband and kids cracking up in the bedroom and I walk in to see THIS story on the computer screen.

I had a cat who weighed over 20 pounds without being fat. At most Claudius carried a pound or two of pampered pet weight.

He was a very powerful boy. One summer day he decided to go outside. Since we were not home, he went right through the window screen. When we got home, he was sitting by the back door waiting to be let in.

Dat's a bid puddy tat! I've got one who's close to 20pounds. There are a few breeds of cats that can get really big.. like 40+ pounds. Main coons being just one of them.

I love big cats. If they have blue eyes, I love them even more.

I saw this on the news they had some great shots of his face all puffed up, he reminded me of Alfred Hitchcock. The cats name is Hercules BTW.
