Both secretaries with US army chief Gen. Peter Pace talked to Washington correspondents in a follow-up appearance to the Bush policy speech Wednesday night, Jan. 10.
Rice said Iran and Syria must end their “destabilizing behavior” in the region and that the US would defend its interests and those of its friends and allies in the region.
I don't think that GWB will probably still be around by the time that the situation with Iran has settled down, but perhaps Iran and Syria won't have to be worried. Maybe their past behaviors will calm down.

I watched the interview of Ms. Rice today...I was amazed that there were 10 - 12 Republicans that openly presented their opposition to this surge. and could no longer support this administration...at one point when they reference a comment the President said, and wanted her to elaborate or explain what he meant...her response was - well I think we need to take the Presidents words as he says them"...........what the (?) is that suppose to me...could it be she herself dose not understand what is going on.....
I believe this is no longer a bi partisan situation...Thank GOD...personally I feel after listening to Ms. Rice today, this administration and this President is looking for a pretex to escalate this war and go into Iran...plain and simple.
( Oh and I am really getting a kick out of the overheard comment and reported on MSN today...her reference to who she likes on TV and the comment "I really like my My FOX guys"...hmmmmmmmm)
Senator Feingold was strong in his questions with Ms. Rice - Direct and got very little response.
In an interview today, he mentioned attending an intelligence meeting this morning, and when he asked those in intelligence positions at the meeting, how do we get out of this mess - they referred to what he was asking as hypothetical...duh?
He said, he realized that no one there could answer that question...that we do not have a plan for a safe exit.
He made comment,"this President has been so wrong about so many things...the situation is totally unacceptable for this country..."
I feel this president has chosen to play war the way he thinks it should be done...and at a terrible cost... He constantly encourages negative response. I feel he should be impeached and I don't care what it costs or how much time it takes....I can think of no other way we can assure this country that no ONE person will ever have the mis use of power and selective hearing that puts this country in distress ever again! His goals in Iraq are his and his alone. That is wrong.
Iranian diplomats were invited by the Iraqi government into their country but were harassed by Bush's agents. Yesterday, Bush's occupational troops bombed an Iranian consulate in Iraqi Kurdistan. Clearly, Bush is trying to provoke a counter attack by Iran in order to justify another invasion.
There only one solution: IMPEACH BUSH!
