It has been a while since I've put up a photo essay of the horses, and I know they have a small following out there in Gatherland. So, here is one for all their fans.
The fine and mighty Poesia, Queen and fearless leader of her herd

dining with her loyal daughter Sonata, they are a close knit family.

The pretty Princess Anastacia has been allowed to join their ranks,

though handsome Prince Favorito must still earn their trust.

He shows off his magnificence by pawing at the ground
and acting a little more studly than necessary

though usually he is a pretty flexible and laidback kind of guy.

Amused, Sonata and Anastacia head off to graze and gossip just a little

while Favorito takes his bow.
Poesia turns her back on all their antics to contendly watch

the sun go down on another peaceful day in her kingdom.

Tonia, you have outdone yourself again!
Thanks for sharing the photos. (I think I like Poesia the best.)
Thanks for all the great comments - I am so glad to be able to share the horses - they are such a big part of my world and we get so much pleasure out of spending time with them. Moving to Arkansas has meant many changes (and sacrifices) for me after calling Boston home for so long, but this is undoubtedly the best thing about it.
Carolion - thank you - your comment will encourage me to push a little further in developing storylines for these essays.
jessie - just curious - does your Lillie enjoy this type of thing?
Feel free to check out some of the horse pictures, I've put up. They are of the rescued horses of our Humane Society. We've had several for quite a while and don't 'look like rescues', but they are. They've come a long way.
Also, feel free to take a look at a poem I wrote about our latest rescue.
What a beautiful story. I'm involved in horse rescue, as well. With our local Humane Society. I help out more with the rehabilitation of the horses, socializing, riding and help where I'm needed. Getting the owners to surrender the horses is done by other members. There is a man who we call, our Horse Whisperer, that trains them and cares for them 24/7 and lives right there on the property. He's a God send. We've rescued 9 horses, so far. Some have been with us for several years and are beautiful, healthy and wonderful animals and there are some that are still in various stages of rehabiltation.
I've got some pictures of the horses in "My photo's" if you are interested.
Also, I've written a poem about our latest rescue, if you are interested. Here's the link.
