When I carry a purse, everything but the kitchen sink, literally. Ususally, I just carry my phone, check book, & camera.

What is in my wallet ? Usually a change purse, my wallet with drivers license, bank and credit cards and other needed cards like the library and health card , a comb, check book and a pen. Some kleenex and too often a bunch of grocery receipts that I have to toss out every now and then . When I had a larger purse I usually kept a book in it to read .

pink wallet, pink credit card case, 2 cell phones (don't ask), three sticks of gum, two lipglosses (one opened and made a mess), a wad of tissues, 7 receipts and my car keys. Oh yea....I also have a few coins rolling around on the bottom of my purse, the coin purse I carry opened and spilled them out!
