DVD Review: The Devil Wears Prada

Meryl Street as the Devil! Wow! I loved The Devil Wears Prada, the book, when it came out. It reminded me all to much of my own first work experience. Anne Hathaway is a young girl, fresh out of college, looking to get her foot in the door of the magazine publishing world, and she ends up at a high-end fashion magazine (someplace where at first she does not belong). Her boss is a demanding, unreasonable woman, though Streep does bring a touch of sympathy to the character in a few scenes. This is a fun movie for any woman who enjoys Sex and the City or romantic comedies.

The book was DEFINITELY better than the movie, but the movie was enjoyable. And Streep was awesome.

I just finished watching this movie, and I enjoyed it. I haven't read the book, but in my experience the book is always better than the movie. Anyway I enjoyed the movie and will deffinately recommend it to my family.

I didn't read the book, but just saw the movie from netflix...and surprisingly enough, I enjoyed the heck out of it, funny and so familiar to many working women. I know I've worked for several women alot like the Devil!

I felt that "The Devil Wears Prada" was just a fair movie, but I will see and enjoy any movie with Meryl Streep. She is a class act and I was delighted that she won a Golden Globe last night for her performance.

Dragged my guy to it - and he loved it! Definitely a Hollywood version of the book. Both stand well on their own. I LOVED Streep. She looked like she had fun getting to play the 'bad guy' for a change. And she won a GG for it!
