Hmmmm. Sigh. Blah.
Um... are you stuck in the doldrums? It's always a tough re-entry, going back to the salt mines after a festive holiday season, and facing several more months of winter with nary a holiday 'til Memorial Day (except for those lucky ones with MLK Day off).
What do YOU do to get out of the doldrums? Come on, tell Zpie. I'm curious!

Tom: We'll make a tape for ya!
(Tom, I promise, only ONE Carpenter's tune.)
You are getting sleepy. You are very relaxed. You are sleeeeeepy.
*Ponce's head falls and he appears unconscious.
You are now a duck. A very happy, quacking duck.
*Ponce squats down and tucks his hands under his armpits.
Ponce: QUACK! QUACK! QUACK!
Z: TEE HEE! Lookit the ducky!
Drinking beer at a Hootenanny.....Hmmmmmm..... what a great idea.... I'll have to try that sometime.....
"Why do birds suddenly appear...."
Yes it would, but it's only $100 a month...
And I'm not all that big on "words" and stuff...
Melinda: I'm toying with the idea of the correspondent program. I'm already a Gather Entertainment Correspondent for the Twin Cities through January, so my plate is full.
Other things to get out of the winter doldrums: walk around the neighborhood or around a lake or in a park! I love walking, especially around one of the city lakes (in Minneapolis). Only bad thing is that it's dark when I get home from work, so I can only walk on weekends. It's tough being a woman, sometimes.
Oh yes, museums and art galleries are a MUST to get through the long winter. You're lucky to live so relatively close to so many FABOO museums.
You could sing Cum on Feel the Noize over the phone, if you call one of us Sat. night! (Of course, it would be something like 2:00 a.m. for you.)
Fresh flowers! After I take down my Xmas tree, the house looks sort of sad and bare, so I always buy a lovely bouquet of flowers to brighten up the joint.
Many people, not just those afflicted with Seasonal Affective Disorder, are very responsive to light.
Until the days start to lengthen noticably, be sure to stay in a zone of brightness.
Zeldapie is right on about fresh flowers, too. And fresh air. Moods will change in response to better oxygenation.
I'll have to find the music and lyrics to "w00t! there it is"
tee hee
It's your birthday??
Dang, I should keep track of that...
