Spend and Spend Republicans

Please help me popularize the phrase "spend and spend Republican." Throw it in, of course, whenever anyone talks about a "tax and spend Democrat." Then, please accuse the speaker of hating children, because they're so eager to bury them under an enormous national debt. Tell them they can close all the soup kitchens they want, it can't possibly cover the multi-billion tab in Iraq. Sure, rhetorically it's deeply flawed, but as a metaphorical handful of sand in the eyes, it's got something, right?

Sure, why replace the "tax and spend" democrats with "don't tax and spend anyway" republicans. When it comes right down to it the Repubs are no different than the dems. They just spend money on different things, like a useless war that has accomplished nothing but to burn hundreds of billions of tax dollars that are kept "off-budget" so as not to tip the books too much into the red.

Tell me how that's an improvement over spending it on ourselves.

Well "borrow" implies some intent to pay back, Clark, and thus I must reject the term.
