What do you do? Are you a writer, consultant, Avon rep?
Are you finding it easy or hard to fit into your lifestyle? Do you find it rewarding?
What works the best for you- do you have tips to share with the rest of us?
I guess I cannot ask all that without giving my answers, huh?
For me (I'm a writer/author) I do find it difficult to manage my writing deadlines while keeping the household together and parenting three children. It's very personally rewarding, but financially, not the best profession to make money in as the payback is rarely immediate, takes a long time to establish yourself, and it's still a low-paying field in most respects. But- I love it and feel fortunate to have the opportunity to pursue this line of work.
What works for me is sheer discipline. Really... I have to force plunk my butt in chair and write despite the distractions, period. I tend to sneak in a lot of short sessions while my little one is napping, or when the three are playing outside or busy with other hobbies. I used to stay up until the wee hours of the morning, but that took its toll on my overall health, so now it's a matter of setting the priority and getting the job done when and where I'm able.
I also keep a spreadsheet to track my goals which is very helpful and motivational too. And tend to write lists each day of what needs to be done so I don't get too sidetracked.
Okay... your turn!

Well your question was do I work at home? Not really but I work in other peoples homes. Mostly senior citizens. I have a small cleaning business but most of my time is running and cleanning house. Dull I know ; )
Thanks for asking anyway.
My children are grown, so I haven't got that as a distraction. My only rule for survival is when my husband gets home, the laptop gets shut down. I don't care what I'm working on, he is the focal point of my life.
I make really good money!
I also write for a site called Hop To Cash, which is a PTR site. They asked me to keep writing my story after I won a short story contest back in September. Only bad thing is that I'm not paid in cash, but I am paid in other methods for the submissions.
I do find it a little hard most days to stay focused and I don't even have kids. I do miss the social aspect of the typical job. As time progresses, I'm settling in to more and more of a routine. Using lists has definitely helped with that.
