Many self-improvement gurus recommend the daily affirmation as a way to become a better person or achieve a more rewarding life. I, on the other hand, am already a perfect human and have achieved and received everything I ever wanted, so I have no need to stand in front of a mirror talking to myself.
However, I do believe it is incumbent upon me to note and report heinous assaults upon my beloved language whenever such atrocities occur within my hearing. And, since television talk shows provide the white noise with which I fill my aural space, my attention is occasionally caught by at least one verbal atrocity an hour. My plan is to post the most cringe-worthy (or amusing) gaffes for your delectation. Feel free to rip them asunder, add your own or just shake your head in disbelief.
Today's Abomination:
Heard on the Judge Mathis show: "…he don’t wanna be incrimidatin’ hisself."
