Have you started taking down your holiday decorations yet?

I/We have not started to take down the outdoor decorations. My tree (fake) is up, with presents under it. My home is comp,letely decorated. Since I had such a late start because of the splint that was on my arm, I really do not want to take my decorations down yet. anyone else feel the same way?

We haven't started yet, but we are going to try and get the outside stuff done maybe today. If we don't do it today, it'l have to wait until next weekend, because by the time Nick get's home from work, it's dark.

None of the inside stuff has been taken down yet, either.

Mine is all down. The outside decorations are still up, we won't turn them on now...but, it got cold here and my husband hasn't taken them down yet. I really love the house when it is all decorated-but, by the time the big day is over, I'm really ready to have things back to normal.

I took mine down this morning. Its so much faster taking them all down then it was putting them all up. :) I'm glad to have my house back to normal.

Yep, Still have one box of stuff to pack up to the attic but it is all down. Thank Goodness!

My sister told me that a family member (not immediate) took her tree down on Christmas morning right after the kids unwrapped their gifts. We are keeping ours up for a little while longer. Usually the tree comes down on New Years Day. Now I count the days until my husband grows tired if seeing it in the living room.

We never really decorate to be honest. We are not home 2 weeks and an additional weekend of December, so we either forget to get our tree from storage in November or we just don't bother.

To be honest it's more of a case of forgetting to get the tree than anything else since we don't really decorate in many other ways than that.

Mine is down. I was tired of seeing it up and it was beginning to look messy and cluttered. I am glad it is back to normal, somewhat.

Well it's that part of me wants to leave the decorations up, part of me wants to take them down. ;-)
Quick update- we got the stuff outside all taken down, the lights detangled, and put up in the garage, so yay for us!

This week, I'll likely poke slowly at taking the stuff in the house down while the kids are in school, so it's not an over whelming task to do in one day. Makes it so much easier.

When I was a kid, we took the decorations down on New Years Day. I think it was part of the NYD ritual.

These days, in my own home, we take the decorations down the second or third week of January. The house looks so pretty and I like to keep them up as long as "socially possible"!

For which holiday? I am afraid we are horribly behind and seem to just rotate which hliday has the majority of decorations up.

MY Christmas decorations are still up. I have a head cold, am home sick from work today. I think I'll keep them up for a week or so. I like the festive look.
