Does any body else Have New Years Family Traditions

  Mine does no one is my family or my mother's family washes clothes, sweeps the floor , or washes dishes on New Years day. I follow this myself. I washed all of my clothes today and my dishes and swept the floors. Also we always eat black eye peas and leave 3 for good luck. It sounds weird I guess but it's a family thing I assume I better follow.

Yeah we usually clean on new years eve (I was too sick today to do much though) and we have sauerkraut and pork or kielbasi. I've never had black eyed peas

Yepper, we GRILL, weird I know, but nothings better than a fine charcoaled grilled steak when its -20F. It tastes fantastic!!

We always try to have a clean house and do not go to the store on New Years Day. The saying goes that if you chave a dirty house or shop on New Years Day you will be doing it everyday all year long.

yeah same here. Well mine is something about a death in my family with washing clothes.

I wish I did, but usually i stay home. Tonight I did a lot of letter writing for my mission trip to Mexico and baked brownies lol

baked brownies sound good right now lol. I didn't do a lot tomight myself I watched Dick Clark's New Years Eve on television.I did all my clothes onyesterday and my dishes and got sweep my floors yesterday.
