Grim milestone indeed. 3,000 American mothers will never see their sons or daughters because George W. Bush had to prove he was a better man than his daddy. 3,000 American fathers will never see their sons or daughters because George W. Bush had to prove he was a better man than his daddy. How many wives and husbands, newborn sons and daughters will never see their husband, wife, father or mother because George W. Bush had to prove he was a better man than his daddy? How many more American soldiers will die for a mistake; a war that should never been fought, against a country that posed no threat to us at all?
Meanwhile, Osama bin Laden is still free.
Screw you, George W. Bush.

"In the New Year, we will remain on the offensive against the enemies of freedom, advance the security of our country, and work toward a free and unified Iraq," he said. "Defeating terrorists and extremists is the challenge of our time, and we will answer history's call with confidence and fight for liberty without wavering."
"In an interview on Dec. 21 with The Associated Press, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said the war was "worth the investment" in American lives and dollars. "
I
It's a ten.
And the war is over? If the war is over, what are our service people still doing over there dying???? Maybe send his daughters over there...I am sure there would be an immediate withdrawl of troops.
(roxanne tosses 2 pennies into the hat and walks out)
How about a New Year's resolution to really support our troops and BRING THEM HOME!
He has succeeded in turning most of the Middle East as well as most of the world's muslims against us.
He has fostered anti-Americanism throughout the modern and third worlds.
He has destroyed our credibility as a superpower and, with the complicity of the Israeli rightwing, endangered Israel's existence and weakened our diplomatic position in the Arab capitols.
He has squandered the good will of the world after 9/11 and allowed undue prominence to accrue to the likes of Putin's Russia and China who now hold all the cards in the UN.
He has practically bankupted our government ang handed the mortgage to the Chinese.
He has acted as the aggressor to Iran, rallied the oppressed Iranian people to their leadership, and actually strengthened the position of the ruling Shiite clergy.
He has ignored the true war on terrorism and depleted our limited manpower and resources in chasing phantoms in Iraq.
He has made us a laughingstock in the world.
With guardians like Bush America doesn't need enemies.
Was it worth it? Or is there something wrong with your measure?

Yeah?
The war was a mistake from the start. More than 65% of the American public now realizes it. Accept it. Deal with it.
Even our European allies correctly suggested that problems in Iraq were better contained by the UN-sponsored fly-over surveillance than they would be by invasion.
For their troubles, they were ridiculed, reviled, and called traitors.
Bush, even now, does not seem to recognize the havoc he has wreaked.
The fact that 65 percent of Americans NOW consider the war to have been a mistake. What about those among us who KNEW it was a mistake BEFORE March, 2003?
The anti-war effort is TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE.
Wake up everybody and get moving !
SPK, this would be perfect for my group The Renewed Activist.
I started the group last year basically to motivate people toward anti-war efforts.

Several hundred thousand people marched in New York in 2003, protesting the stupitity of this action, and chanting "Not in My Name" - not wanting the terror of September 11 to be manipulated as a cause for this arrogant action.
For our efforts, we were scolded by Dick Cheyney and sneeringly derided by Faux News and much of the mainstream press.
There is still a lot of left wing anger at the New York Times for rolling over and giving the Bushies a pass on the fraudulent war build-up.
