Saddam Sentencing
They just had a lengthy discussion about that on both CNN and BBC. In fact, it should be the precise opposite = if Iraqis perceive that Bush brought about this execution, it will give the impression that the government in Baghdad is a puppet regime. And it defeats the purpose or claim that Iraqi is a true democracy and in control of its fate.
CNN at this immediate moment is addressing this issue again. It pointed out that Bush is not making a public comment but a written one so that he will not give the impression that he caused this execution. This is the smarter move as Anderson Cooper and his guests are saying right now.
