As part of the new theme for this year, Disney began the Year of a Million Dreams giveaway earlier in the Fall, a promotion where guests might randomly recieve a Magical Moment, ranging from the small to the huge Magical Moments.
On a recent trip to Disney World earlier this month, it happened to us! I never thought that we would actually receive one of the million Magical Moments because the odds are really not in our favor, though I would like to win the stay in Cinderella's Castle overnight. My two pin-trading sons were having a great night at MGM Studios, alternating between attractions and pin trading with Disney Cast Members. We went over to the giant hat pin trading store and the kids bought a pin for a gift and then asked the Cast Member if they had a pin board. Many of the resort stores and some of the Disney pin stores will have a special pin board for kids to trade pins on (the board often has hard to find pins). The cast member with the same first name as me, said that they did not have one but............."I would like to give you both a Magical Moment!"
The look on their faces was a magical moment for me, since you might have thought that they hit the Lotto jackpot!LOL
They were given a special certificate with the Magical Moment listed on it and the chance to choose one pin each from a special pin board. Normally a pin trade requires a pin to trade, but they were given the chance to pick one pin each for free.
It was our magical moment :)
