My New Years Resolution

I resolve to continue my quest started in 2006 to help people learn to live with and prepare for large disasters.  I want to help the Salvation Army by letting them charge for my free lectures on Hurricane Recovery.  This plan is in motion with the Richmond, Virginia chapter.  Wish me luck as I told God I would make this a quest. My slide lecture is already prepared, tested and ready for their use when they say come.  I should mention that I have spend years in developing a special plan that I have put in book form so I know my subject.

Sounds like a great New Year's Resolution to me. It would have to be very rewarding to be in a position to really help people.

Thank you both for the glad hand. It is a nice position to be able to help people but does not require any special training or resourses to always lend a hand as much as you can. If you are one of those that pass by when a person appears to be having a problem, it costs you nothing to inquire if he or she is okay. Maybe they need a help and you have the chance. You feel good and the person feel better. Even is they do not need help it will make them feel better knowing that someone thinks about them, and they are not all alone.
I am going for the big thing now, but always try to be the one that takes a few minutes to ask and be ready to help when I can. There is so much need in this world and many just do not care.
