uh, I have to sit this one out, thanks. There are so many great guests to choose from! And I am absolutely no good at remembering anyone's name. I even forget my own name some mornings.

There was recently a brilliant woman from Ireland, a singer of course, and she also had a part and sang a song on the Guy Noir segment. But I can't think of her name for my life. Her voice was enchanting.

Thanks to Garrison and all at MPR for this show. As a Central Minnesotan, it makes me proud.

Lake Wobegon forever.

I missed the show with Robin and Linda Williams. I'll bet it was great. As for Meryl Streep, it's hard to believe it was that long ago.

Dannielle, you must be a pretty happy fan! Robin and Linda are frequent guests. Got any favorite visits from this past year?

Suzi, I think their most recent appearance was the November 18, 2006 show but I could be wrong - I've been wrong before and doubtless will be wrong again.

1st choice: Emmy Lou Harris and Mark Knopfler. I went right out and bought their "All the Roadrunning" CD. I love Beachcombing and This is Us from it. I don't think they performed either, but every song is good. Very nice chemistry between them.

2nd choice: Stephanie Davis singing Johnny Cash's "Field of Diamonds" with Garrison in Pullman, WA

Ah, Julia Star, glad to see you here. Emmy Lou Harris and Mark Knopfler were guests all the way back in spring on the April 22, 2006 show.

Thanks for mentioning the Pullman show, aired on October 7, 2006. I'm firing up the audio on segment two to listen to her voice again...

Hi Julia

It could have been Karen Casey, that seems vaguely familiar. In the Guy Noir segment she came into the bar, sang a song. Guy gave her a couple bucks, she said she had small children, and Guy reached deeper and gave her a ten.

I mainly remember the sound of her voice, which gave me very cool shivers. Don't rack your brain too much. I am not entering this contest anyway.

I wouldn't know where to begin to pick a favorite. I live for Guy Noir and Garrison himself couldn't get any more homey if he laid on the stage floor with the mic and kicked off his shoes. The show reminds me of visiting my grandparents before there was TV,
