why aren't you people out shopping?!?

Earlier this week, George Bush gave a press conference in which he had a message for the American people: Go Shopping!

Now I'm certain that many of us have already heeded the decider's command out of holiday spirit or from societal and familial pressure. But today's Gather site is loading all its content, especially images, very slowly compared to how the rest of the week has been. 

In fact, Gather became rather uncharacteristically speedy during the week...and I was happy as a puppy with two tails about it!

But today, it is my sassy assumption that perhaps many Gatherers are busily gathering--not nifty and perfect gifts--but Gather content for viewing and for reading. And so I admonish you to get the lead out, feed the parakeet, take the cash out of the ATM, and get truckin' on down the highway, whether bwo your local by-pass, or, if still in your PJs,  to exotic online sites with merchandise that is for sale.

Don't even think about disappointing George Bush who, as heaven knows, has plenty to be disappointed about these days what with his oily war not progressing as quickly and greasily as he hadn't given a thought that it would.

And your Aunt Granny Fanny is expecting something nice to go along with the smoked cheese platter you always ill-advisedly buy her every friggin' year.  You may as well set the Pepto-Bismal out next to the egg-nog, Junior!

First I must say that my heart and fervent prayers go out to all families who have lost loved ones to this heinous war. We have all lost much in the last few years, and someone needs to pull the plug on the US's hawk madness, but that's my personal opinion, I realize...no offense intended. It's a sad world really, when those who prefer living in peace with the rest of mankind feel a need to apologize lest political indoctrinations be offended!

Most delightedly, however, this is my final wish for you all, Gatherers, and for anyone who may visit here this Holiday Season: that every tyrant be exposed as the charletan he or she is--and be cast out from the chambers of power of every nation so that Peace and Good Will may reign upon the Earth for All Peoples of All Good Faith wherever you may be...and may heavenly angels draw close to All who need and heed their loving guidance and protection!
