'Spirit of Community' Member Award !
Joanne receives the award this week for her tireless efforts in designing, compiling and coordinating the 'Men of Gather' calendar for 2007. She has taken a fun, creative, and light-hearted idea and crafted it into a viable and useful product that encompasses members from across the community spectrum.
It is positive ideas and constructive efforts like Joanne's that make Gather such a unique and special community.
Congratulations Joanne, and thank you for everything you do...!
You may see the cover for the 'Men of Gather' calendar, pages for the first half of 2007, as well as earlier iterations of the idea HERE.
If only there were more days in a year to fit in everyone!

About the 'Spirit of Community' Member Award
It takes more than exceptional content to create a vibrant, active community like Gather. It also needs the contributions of members that strengthen the Gather community and foster a welcoming, supportive and positive atmosphere for others.
Community building on Gather can be just as important as the content we publish, and merits acknowledgement, and a little applause from time to time.
Therefore, I identify one Gather member each week who symbolizes these characteristics, and acknowledge their community building efforts through the 'Spirit of Community' Member Award.
Awards are announced each Friday, and will appear as the featured article in the 'Spirit of Community' Member Awards Group.
Nominations are more than welcome. If you know of an individual member, like Joanne's, that exemplifies the spirit of our community here on Gather, please publish your nomination to the group, or send me a mail message.
You may subscribe or join the 'Spirit of Community' Member Awards group using the buttons below.
Thank you.
