Trump Vs Rosie Lawsuit

Rosie bad mouthed him on the view yesterday about the Ms usa controversy.
He says today he will sue her. I will try to find the link to the story somewhere and post it in this artilcle for those who haven't yet heard about it.

I've never been a big Rosie fan, and I have the greatest admiration for the The Donald. I thought her comments were funny, but totally out of line. She questioned his position on this on the grounds that he has his own morality issues. So be it, he has made some questionable choices in his personal life - but this is business and HE runs the pageant!

In this case, it was a no-win for The big D - if he kicked her out he'd be scrutinized for the same thing. I think it was big of him to give her a second chance. And maybe because he, himself is not "perfect", he did not "judge" her hastily. IMHO, he made a fair and balanced decision weighing a variety of factors.

I love watching the Apprentice and can't wait til it comes back on next year - and there again, he consistently demonstrates the same diplomatic stance with people, using a variety of input to evaluate and then make fair and balanced decisions. And there as well he often gives second chances when the situation warrants it.

I say Trump will.

Oh for crying out loud. There won't be a lawsuit. What he said was "I should sue her and take money out of her pockets". He was just mad because she bashed him. Nothing will come out of it.

I think Trump's just blowing smoke. He's not going to sue anybody; just wants to see Rosie squirm a little bit. Nevertheless I bet that Ba-Ba Wa-Wa is regretting her decision to hire a big-mouth like RO'D. Last week she riled up Oriental people with her "ching-chong Chinaman" impression. She's a sorry-assed excuse for a "comedian", to say the least.

I noticed Rosie was very quiet about Trump's threat today (the day after she bad mouthed him on The View.) I heard one analyst say that it would be very hard for him to actually win the case but I imagine the lawyer fees if he does sue could almost ruin her.

I saw The View yesterday and while some of her remarks were over the top and out of line, I do think she had a point about it being funny that Trump should set himself up as a moral compass for 20 year olds (Miss USA).

Anyway, it will be interesting to see what happens.

Kimberly, he said he said he definitely will sue her - and will "enjoy every minute of it"! I don't think The Donald is one to make idle threats. However, if Rosie apologizes, perhaps he'll give her a "second chance" as well!

like Donald Trump has a right to be anyone's moral compass! He of course will win simply because he has more money than Midas... he is a joke. and Rosie at least is funny!!

Fran, Rosie isn't exactly a poor little sap either. You are saying exactly what Rosie did, tht he has no right to be anyone's moral compass - well neither does she! At least he was in a position to make a judgement on this girl, considering he runs the pageant - Rosie is in no position to judge him. I do think she has every right to voice her opinion but it was uncalled for to make it a personal attack!

They will probably kiss and make up within a week....

I never could stand Rosie myself. I found it hard to believe when they hired her for the show.

I don't like her anyway. She often says things on The View that are totally out of line and I would not be surprised if he did sue her. He is a businessman and the pagent is his business. She had no right to personally attack him. She isn't very funny and is just out for the shock value and says things totally out of line most of the time.

If nothing else, Rosie gets viewers to tune in to see what will come out of her mouth next. The viewing public likes controversy and she surely can provide it. If there is a suit, my is on the Donald.

I think both of them are full of crap...I would prefer to never see either one of them on TV EVER.

There is no way that the View will get rid of Rosie. There ratings are WAY up since she started.

Do you really think a judge would even consider this lawsuit? First of all, a defense against libel or slander is that what you said is the truth. Rosie said Donald has filed for bankruptcy and that he's not a self-made business. These things are both true. She called him a snakeoil salesman, but he is a public figure and it's perfectly legal to scrutinize him in this way. If he truly bothers to sue her, he's an idiot!

Second of all, Rosie has said some stupid things recently, but she's right in this situation. However, the REAL dirt of this whole thing is why this woman has REALLY been allowed to keep her crown. Vanessa Williams didn't get this same "second chance" courtesy and what a shock, the first-runner up is a black woman in this case. Trump also fired Miss Nevada yesterday for pictures that surfaced of her out drunk on the town kissing her friends and in various states of undress. So nudity and sexuality are not OK, but drug abuse and alcoholism are? Um...OK!

I heard about this on Larry King Live last night ... Donald Trump was phoning in to speak with him about it. From the sounds of it, he seemed intent on a lawsuit, but I think he was just spouting off though -- he didn't come right out and say he was going to sue, just that his lawyers said it would be an easy case should he choose to pursue it.

A lot of the things Trump was saying about Rosie last night were just mean (jabs about her weight, looks, class, no on liking her, he could send a friend over to steal away her girfriend,etc.).

I find it odd that Trump gave Miss USA a second chance, but didn't for the others. Who was the gal he booted because he said she was an "eating machine" and gained too much weight in his opinion to hold the crown.

I really liked Anderson Cooper's reaction to the whole thing. He showed Trump and O'Donnell at it and then Anderson just stood there looking totally bewildered and said he wasn't going to touch it. I can't say I blame him.

I like Rosie, I support her 100%, but I don't think she is right for a show like the view. She needs to be the host like on her old show. She has a very strong personality and doesn't play well with others. I think what she said about Trump was funny, VERY funny. And his comments sounded really defensive, like he was in 7th grade. This is one of those stories that is going to get old quickly.
