Today is my daughter's 5th birthday. She has been looking forward to it for awhile. In fact, I told her on Monday morning that her birthday was only 4 days away and she started laughing and crying at the same time.
We asked her last night what she wanted to do today/tonight. Hubby has to work until about 5 so we are making plans for this evening. She can eat whatever/wherever she wants.
"McDonald's!" (???!!!) "I want to play on the playground and I want a hamburger for supper."
We decided she had to choose better than that. She chose pizza. And she wants me to bake her a strawberry cake. After that we will open her gifts. No "party" just family.
My 2 year old son is excited himself; he wants it to be his birthday too! But he will have to wait another 6 months. LOL!
