I don't care if you are a man or woman. I dont care if you are a man who likes long hair on a man, or a woman, who likes it on a woman or a man. No, stop. I'm not asking as if it were something one needed to worry about one way or another. Screw politics. To Hell with religion. tHE QUESTION IS......do you like long hair or short..on either women or men, regardless of your sexual preference. As a Hetero female, I like it long..long on both, though Ive met the occasional man and woman that truly looked better with a shorter look.
My daughter has asked that I don't cut my hair until the next presidential election. I asked her to make all a's and b's on her senior report card by the time she graduates. So far, we are tied. She had all a's and b's and ONE C. What is it, December? She has six more months to kick mom's behind, and quite frankly, my hair is thin. Thing is, I want her to win. Her own hair is long and naturally red. Jerks have come along and TRIED to say the red hair, freckle thing was just ugly. I say,HUSH!
Who has determined our beauty? Who decided that bigger this or smaller that equated our worth? I say, if you teach your children this, reconsider. Will this help her at 50? 75? Will an extra amount, or a little less here, help him or her become a well rounded person? Still, it is fun to have a friendly contest...as IF the length of one's hair mattered. I wonder what Sampson would say?
I personally have this preference for long hair on most folks, with the occasional short haired man or woman, because we all knew he or she just looked or felt better. My hair has fallen past my shoulders. I wonder who will win the election...........

On a woman, it depends on the shape of her face, etc. Up until I was 12, I had very long hair. I had it almost down to my knees. After it was cut, (not MY choice) I never grew it very long again. When I got married, it was almost down to the center of my back. I have had it cut short and let it grow long. It seems that, when I have it just past my shoulders, I decide to get it hacked off again....

I believe the conservative issue with men having long hair being "gross", "girly", "untidy", and "immature", all of the things I was called when I had long hair, is caused by envy.
Let no man say he wants to go bald, if he does; his hair is so thin he might as well be bald.
Short hair on men is acceptable by the older, mature, military, conservative, and the balding. Long hair on men, is acceptable to those men who can achieve long hair.
Women, personally, it is their face that determines the hair length. Halley Berry looks fantastic, with short hair. Some women do not carry short hair as well.
It's all up to ones personal taste.
I like long hair on women, though, I have met women who look much better with short and it is just as attactive.
Go figure.
Whatever your taste, long, short, or bald, judge ones hair, with your heart, not with sterotypes, oh....and loose the envy.
