We have waited until Christmas time to share with my family the news of our pregnancy. I will be 12 weeks at Christmas so we are a little slow in telling them, but I want to surprise them. I am sending out their Christmas cards now, hoping they will get them by Saturday.
Anyway, to share the news, I wrote a little poem on each card. I thought this would be more fun than calling them on the phone (they expect it if I call and ask to speak to both/all of them). So here is my poem. Tell me what you think? I know it will never be on a Hallmark card, but at least it rhymes:
Our Christmas gift to you
Is not exactly new.
We've had it for about 12 weeks
And we'll keep it longer too!
Maybe a girl, maybe a boy
But certainly not just a toy.
And though we'll wait till June or July
It will still be a bundle of joy!
