I watched "Eternal Sunshine Of A Spotless Mind" on sunday night. The premise is that a couple goes in, each one separate of the other, to have each other erased from their mind when their relationship goes bad. A lot happens but just the premise made me think about erasing people from my mind. I think we all have those people that we'd rather just erase. Think about it. Who would YOU like to erase from your mind, and why?
I will start. In kindergarten, my teacher told the class that there was no Santa Claus. We were five years old! She should have kept her mouth shut and let us believe just a little bit longer!

Now back to the topic: I'd like to erase a guy in Alaska I was engaged to. He and my bookkeeper embezzled so much money from me I went bankrupt. Anybody got a BIG eraser?
Funny thing is, I saw this movie at the theatre with a boyfriend who kept telling me he knew I'd love to erase HIM. That's partially true. We'd known each other since we were kids and were actually the best of friends for about 12 years before we started in on a relationship. The relationship didn't work at all. And I lost a very good friend in the process. I would like to just erase the relationship part of knowing him and get my friend back. I miss him.
I remember my youngest daughter's first grade teacher telling the class that E.T. was dead. Needless to say, we had a conference in the Principle's office!
Hey DW, I bet I'm on yer list! he he
My life has been made so much richer by each and every person that has been placed in my life.
Thank you for reminding us of those we have forgotten.
However, there were some bullies in Junior High whom I would willingly erase. Not to mention a couple of college boyfriends who left a bad taste in my mouth (figuratively of course! Get those minds out of the gutter!).
I don't think I would erase anyone because I would probably lose something valuable in the process.
