December Magic

Musical drizzle of dancing dew drops
December magic and all bakeshops
Misty mystique nature
Hand in hand with rapture
I seated with her and champagne pops.

After some buzzing like honey bee
Looking at her eyes of deepest sea
With full hesitation
And some perspiration
I say, "Would you care to dance with me?

A little dance and we become apart
With my breathing troubles I retire hurt
Whiles others swing their legs
We just toast and sip pegs.
Why am I old and not that much smart?

She cajoles me as dutiful wife
Telling me we are partners of life
And we come out buoyant
Beneath night sky vibrant
While season winks showering love rife.

There is all the fullness of love and life renewed and appreciated in this remarkable poem of a couple dancing and finding new buoyancy with each other. I love the tone of this, the easy familiarity of love expressed with such happiness, the picture you give us of what sweet affections really are and how they endure.
