Christmas Shows on TV this Week-you have to watch at least one!

I never realized how many Christmas shows that are on tv in the month of December.  From December 1st-25th, ABC Family channel is airing at least one classic or new holiday show each night.  On a few selected days, there are entire marathons for the real holiday diehards.

 Here we go....................... If you have a favorite-feel free to share :)

Saturday 12/16: Christmas Do-Over (a new ABC Original Movie) 8:00 pm

 Sunday 12/17: Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas 8:00 pm

Monday 12/18: Santa Claus is Coming to Town 7:00 pm

                         Chitty Chitty Bang Bang 8:00 pm

Tuesday 12/19: Frosty's Winter Wonderland 7:00 pm

                          Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban 7:30pm

Wednesday 12/20: Dr. Suess' Cat in the Hat 7:00 pm

                               Dr. Seuss is on the Loose 8:00 pm

I like the Grinch too-he adds something different to the holiday television line up and he has some good lines!
I've been DVRing shows since Thanksgiving :) I've seen the Grinch several times, along with Rudolph, Frosty, Frosty Returns, Night Before Christmas, New Year's Baby (dumbest winter special EVER), and countless live action movies.

I love Christmas :)

Heather you have the right idea! I really need to get the DVR started. My sister DVRs shows all the time too. The Harry Potter is a good one for older kids and I have to remember to watch it myself-I've seen the first Potters but not this one

Thank you for the rundown because I think my cat had hidden my TV Guide again. I can't say I blame her though - she has that new mitt I bought her and she'd rather have me play catch with her than watch television.

Robin, I think I succeeded in getting my cat to understand that "baseball season" is over and tis is the Holiday Season- a good time to sit before the television with a mix of egg nog and catnip and watch Dr. Suess' Cat in the Hat. Who knows, maybe this flick will get her to take up acting instead...

I think I'm going to skip these. I am going to rent a few movies. My favorite Christmas movie is "Scrooged" with Bill Murray. I love that movie!

I love the Grinch and watch it every year, but my favorite is A Christmas Carol (the old one.)

I was thinking about it and realized that I really, really like watching Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story every year-in addition to the traditional kids' classics

Robin, Do you realize how long it's been since they've aired The Walton's Christmas? That was always my favorite one! I think it made me so happy because I actually knew that I had a little bit more money then they did! LOL ~Donna
