This recipe is based on one recently posted by “Sous Chef” Michelle O. for Pizza Rustica.
1/2 lb. Italian sausage
1 cup Ricotta Cheese
1 cup Mozzarella Cheese
1 egg
1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
3 oz. smoked ham, chopped
2 Tbsp. parsley
Your favorite pizza dough
1 T butter, melted with garlic powder
PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Prepare pizza dough according to packaging instructions. Roll on to greased pizza pan. |
BROWN sausage; drain well. Mix ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, egg and Parmesan in large bowl. Stir in sausage, ham and parsley. Spoon onto half of crust. Fold in half and seal edge. Brush top with butter/garlic mix and sprinkle over some extra parmesan. Cut several slits in the top. |
BAKE 20-25 minutes until crust is nice and browned. Let stand 5 min. before slicing. Serve with a dish of your favorite pizza sauce for dipping. |
