Resolutions for the New Year

With Christmas time nearing, so is the end of the year 2006.

Ringing in the New Year usually means new resolutions people try to make and keep.

What are your New Years Resolutions for 2007?

Mine I think I would have to say are quitting smoking and saving money for satellite internet and enough money to take the family on a cruise ship. We have never taken a real family vacation and I think that would be a great present to the family.

I always seem to make good resoloutions but for some reason that's as far as it goes.

I've been thinking about it for awhile now. One year I made a resolution to keep in touch with more friends and family by sending birthday cards. Then on weekends call a different friend to catch up. It lastest for several years, but I need to do it again! That is the only one I've ever kept. So I'm more like Sue. I always have goals, but rarely make resolutions. I will be doing it this year however!

I plan to stick to my doctor prescribed diet and keep losing weight, and hope to improve my families finances, and do some home improvements this spring and summer.

I have a new goal for the new year.... it is to be with family more. Visiting them even if I only have enough gas to travel to them. Family is important and we don't all live forever.

Naturally, I want to work out more, be a better person, etc. I like to make crazy resolutions though. One of them is to not wear my hair in a ponytail more than once a week. This requires that I get up earlier to dry my hair. People have commented on how nice my hair looks now. Interesting...The other strange resolution is to get caught up with my magazine stack. I only get three per month, but I just finished reading those from 2007. I think it's fun to miss up silly and serious resolutions.

I made a list of 50 "goals" at the end of the year. "Resolutions" scare me because I always break them. Speaking of broken resolutions, I might as well rubber stamp "quit smoking" on a form letter for resolutions for life. One of these years...
