It seems as though some people are offended by the celebration of religious holidays through public decorations, displays and even music. What do you think about that?
im a big ole non-believer, im strictly science. But the holidays doesnt bother me.. its tradition. And i love to drive around and look at peoples decorations. we go to family for the holidays, again its tradition.
The celebration of religions holidays does not offend me unless the people who are celebrating their religion expect stores, businesses, governments and the public to do it with them.
I do not think anyone should be offended by others celebrating religious holidays that differ from their own. I think it is very wrong to claim that some one else's celebrations are offensive. I think it is offensive to say that some one else's holiday should not be celebrated because you don't celebrate it no matter what religion it represents. I think this practice has gone too far because it now affects the schools and the children's abilities to learn about all different cultures & religions. Everyone should be allowed to celebrate what they wish as long as they are not forcing their own beliefs onto somebody else.
