Believe me, I've pondered the question many times. How would it feel to suddenly be a millionaire? How would it change my life? My children's lives? The lives of those closest to me? And of course, those who aren't but would suddenly wish to be?
Would I buy a new home? Certainly, I would love to have more room for everyone. Would I fix up my yard, no, my ranch up to suit my love for plants and animals? Would I spoil my children and future grandchildren with lots of gizmos, gadgets, and widgets and such? Probably. I would imagine that bringing my family security would have to be one of the better parts of winning. But what about the down side?
Family and friends would most likely come out of the woodworks to get a piece of that action. Perhaps someone I forgot to pay back that 20 bucks to would demand interest. What about some wacko thinking that maybe I'd pay handsomely for my kid's safe return. What if I mismanaged the money? What if i invested poorly?
I read sometimes about the horrors of lottery winners, losing family or friends through either arguments or even violence or death. I wonder how it would change me. How would it affect my family? Would I feel better than everyone else? Or would I be generous and help as many as I could? It's kind of like being thrown into a frightening situation you've never been in before..you don't know how you'll react until it happens.
I've decided that the chances of becoming a millionaire are slim to nil. But that doesn't mean I can't better my situation, seize moments, and be happy for all the wonderful things that money can not buy.
We have to have and make money to survive, no question about that. We all have bills to pay.
But still, dreaming and thinking about having anything one wants is a lesson in itself. What would you do?

Lawrence, what would you do if you had a million dollars?
He sits down.
LAWRENCE
I'll tell you what I'll do, man--Two chicks at the same time.
Peter laughs.
PETER
That's it? If you had a million dollars, that's what you'd do, two chicks at the same time?
LAWRENCE
Damn straight, man. I've always wanted to do that. I figure if I were a millionaire, I could hook that up. Chicks dig guys with money.
PETER
Well not all chicks….
LAWRENCE
Well, the type of chick that would double up on a guy like me do.
PETER
Good point.
Pay off all debts, buy a cozy lil croft in Scotland and invest the rest.
Ok i say that but weather that would really occur i have no idea, i'll just turn off the action movie now.
You should be able to retire if you live modestly. But, you may still want to work - just find something that really makes you happy.
