Official drawing rules: "Which character from the APHC movie do you most resemble?"

No purchase or contribution is necessary. Making a purchase or contribution will not increase your chances of winning the drawing. One drawing entry per person regardless of number of replies within the "Which character from the APHC movie do you most resemble?" discussion. Multiple registrations/entries and textless replies for purposes of entering,  if discovered, will be disqualified.

You must comply with Gather Terms of Service. By registering for Gather, joining the A Prairie Home Companion Group, and posting your reply to the "Which character from the APHC movie do you most resemble?" discussion between contest launch on December 11, 2006  and  11:59 p.m. ET December 17, 2006 you are automatically entered into the random drawing.

Eligibility:
Anyone can enter the drawing except persons who on or after April 1, 2006, were or are employees of American Public Media Group or its related organizations, their immediate family, or persons living in the same household. The drawing is open to any United States resident age 13 or older. Void where prohibited by law.

Prize:
December 19, 2006 five (5) winners will be randomly drawn from the respondents on the  "Which character from the APHC movie do you most resemble?" discussion. The winners will receive a prize package consisting of: 

• A Prairie Home Companion Movie Tote Bag
• A Deluxe Limited Edition soundtrack CD with some DVD features  
• A Deck of APHC playing cards

Each prize package value is $39.00 U.S. and will be shipped to the winner via the United States Post Office.

Notification of winner:
Winners will be drawn December 19, 2006. Winners will be notified by message via the Gather messaging system. Once eligibility is confirmed, winners will provide a mailing address for prize and will be announced. If American Public Media is unable to reach the winners or the winner is unable to accept the prize within 30 days, the unawarded prize will go to a randomly drawn first back-up and subsequent backups thereof until the prize is awarded. The rules detailing eligibility and method of drawing winners are on file at American Public Media. The chances of winning are dependent upon the number of individuals participating.

General:
Participants agree to the Official Rules, and that Gather, Minnesota Public Radio, American Public Radio Media Group, and related organizations, and their agents and employees will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from their use of the prize or their participation in the drawing. Participants also agree to grant American Public Media the right to use their reply content, name, image, or other likeness without further compensation for advertising, fundraising or promotional purposes. Taxes and other expenses are the responsibility of the winner. All entries may be read on the air or republished in print or electronic form. Entrants agree that their Gather usernames may be used in association with their submissions. Entrants warrant that their submissions are their own original writings.

Restrictions:
By participating in the contest, a participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, and by all decisions of the drawing coordinator. Winner is responsible for any applicable taxes.
