3:28 pm: The two lines above are all that's left of a two hour article-writing spree after Gather got done with its lunch gobbling it up--including image uploading problems and all.

Gather's added Save-as-a Draft feature which I was so thrilled with has done me no good today.

Despite gather's draft feature, it's always prudent to compose your article in a text editor on your own computer, and to save the document regularly and often. The input form interface on the web will never be completely reliable in its present implementation. Okay, now I'm off to view the images!

Jude: Thank you for posting these (and those on Blogspot) for us. The figures and faces you draw are alluring and your memorabletechnique(s) are so well matched to your subject. What I find astonishing, though, is the quantity of your work... and as we know, to see a large array of one's art is more informative than a few scattered pieces.

oh. and I like the figures with the odd-shaped faces like eugenie's mirror because they seem a little (but only a little) better suited to your drawing style....

Thanks, Carol, you're so right--yet it's inexplicable why I have so much trouble posting bwo text edito...it's one of those mysteries I'd put in the same category with where-did-my-Gather-article- fly-away-to.

Plus I have blogs that allow me to post by email which doesn't work for me either. :>( Real time typing is all I manage these days...if that.

It makes me blue...anyway--hope you like a drawing or two!

Oh, Jude -- I know the frustration you're encountering! The "save draft" feature here is not what we wish it was, that's for sure. I compose my articles in Word and save them, so that the frustration and loss-agony are reduced. (There remains the challenge of removing all the gobbledygook codes, but it's not the same magnitude of frustration as the loss of an entire article.)

I'll go check out your artwork now!

Dannielle, thanks so much. Code gobbledy gook is an improvement I suppose but it all seems to take so much more time than it should, doesn't it? Only in America are our servers so slow and our fiber optic networks so...non-existent!

Love your icon with the guitar, btw!

'3 Dancers' is slightly ahead tonight and I'll tally the votes Tuesday morning to see who's ahead! Guess the voting should end at some point---say Wednesday, 6 pm, est.

I haven't voted, because they are all wonderful. I think I like the "cover" image the best (the cosmic persona welcome image). It's very appealing to me.

Also, if you use microsoft word as a text editor, you can paste your work into notepad first -- this will instantly remove word's tags and codes. Then copy and paste into the gather form. Or just work in notepad, which creates a pretty basic text file you can save.

I couldn't figure out how to vote at the site but I liked Peche Claire the most, with Pillow Pile a close second.
