UFO: Unidentified Flying Object. Do they exist? Certain groups of people swear that they in fact do exist; that they have actually seen, touched, been sucked up by one, and even impregnated with alien spawn. Where are these half-breeds now?
UFO: Unidentified Flying Object. Some people say that the aforementioned group of believers are nut bags, losers...white trash that drank to much at the pig pick' in.
What IS Area 51, really? Do MIB's exist... what is their purpose if so? Why do we care? What is it about UFO's that tweaks our interest?
We watch discovery channel specials about them, read articles about the Egyptian ruins showing Hieroglyphics depicting alien landings...why...why... WHY? What about the statues on Easter Island...huh? What about THOSE. The statues have always fascinated me. Since I was a child; I've wanted one of my very own. I remind myself of that little girl from "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory". "I want a Golden Goose and I want it NOW!!!!".

Stonehenge, Atlantis; I so want Atlantis to be real, Nazca, Baalbek, so many unanswered questions... Rue. We rue over them. A Strange way of putting it you say? No. not really... we do just that. For we humans have huge egos and when something presents itself which we cannot figure out... we feel sorry for ourselves or regret having discovered it in the first place.

Once it become decided that there is no answer or even understanding of a discovery; it becomes "A Great Mystery". What amuses me is that we are making mysteries of what I suspect were fairly common happenings back in the day. A few stones they put up as some type of ancient scaffolding, the foundation for some beggars house we come along and "discover". BLAMO! Instant religious site for us to half destroy in our quest to "learn". Some "Lost City" read of in some navigator's notebook from a bazillion years ago; was probably some aspiring writer's story idea, but discover it and it becomes FACT. Fact; in somebody's mind. The allure of these "mysteries" is unmistakable... unstoppable... The mysteries answers usually prove to be unattainable. We are a bored society. Technology has left us nothing to do; no dreams are left for the common man, all we have are "Mysteries". The past has become our dream, our future. Isn't it Ironic?
Anyway, it's just what I was thinking about.
