Cold Enough to Make Your Snow Curl

I didn't take this picture myself. My friend in Weippe, ID sent it to me a couple days ago. The picture is taken facing east. fileId:3096224743975673;size:full;

In order to get the snow to slide in one complete blanket like that, the temps have to vary very little. The sun just helps the snow ooooooze forward like a blanket falling off a bed.

Gabar: My friend only ventures outside to get more firewood, make trips to the grocery store and post office. Otherwise, she just stays home. She is happy and content to do that. She has 3 cats and a dog to keep her company.

Dan: I like the snow pictures too, as long as I don't have to be out in it. We get less snow here in western WA than some places. Usually...

When I talked to our son yesterday he said that he and the kids were going to some winter festival in SoCal where they had trucked in tons of snow. Sheesh, if airline tickets weren't so expensive, they could just come to WA. We don't have any here right now, but it only takes a short drive to the foothills to find some.
