Well, at least Cynthia McKinney has started the paperwork process of the impeach Bush process. Of course, McKinney won't be returning in the next congress, so the paperwork may die. Is the Impeach Bush crowd excited by the prospect that the paperfwork process has begun?

Personally, I prefer the method of allowing dem-led, subpeona-empowered investigations to disembowel the lies of the past 6 years, to the point where the public literally demands impeachment. The crimes have been committed. It's just a matter of showing the public what many of us already know.
Oops, I forgot the republican passed 134 bills to change the names of public offices, therefore they were really NOT a do nothing congress.
Lost in time - Lost in space.
It remains to be seen how successful the democrats will be. I'll be happy if they are successful, but if they get caught up in this whole destructive behavior of trying to punish the republicans, I will worry.
How about passing Budgets?
I agree that many of the new democrats are probably to the right of most of the left leaning democrats.
I saw where, under Pelosi, the House will have five day work weeks. Under the republicans, the work week was between 2 and 3 days. lots of time off.
The new Congress will keep a little more tension between the President, the Senate, and the House. I think this is a good thing. Hopefully, the country has learned its lesson about granting all of the power to one party.
That is the best comment I have ever seen you make, DMP.
Have you not been paying attention the last three years? Bush/Cheney/Rummy cherrypicked intelligence from non-credible sources. They relied on the testimony extracted by torture. We are in Iraq because they wanted to be in Iraq since the Clinton Administration (the letter of the PNAC to Clinton). They used 9/11 as an excuse to bring forth their predetermined plan and invaded Iraq to find 1)No weapons of mass destruction 2)No links to 9/11 or al Qaida. They gave no-bid contracts to cronies who abuse the free reign they've been given costing taxpayers exponentionally more than necessary. Reconstruction positions were given on the basis of loyalty to Bush politics instead of things like experience and competence. This administration has demonstrated that they do not have the competence to handle the power entrusted to them and should be removed for all of our sakes. Yours, mine, and the People of Iraq.
Our strategy should be to leave behind a stabile Iraq, it took seven years to do that with Japan. The probelm with this conflict are that it is and never was going to be a quick job. For anyone who listened, the President stated time and time again that this war on terror would more than likely go on beyond his Preisdency. Why not, we have been at war without even addressing it for nearly three decades.
The leftists in our country have been doing nothing but their best to undermine our war effort. At first the negativity came in dribs and drabs, Americans were appalled at the rantings of the Dick Durbins and Harry Reids only to hear more and more of these rants alal Ted Kennedy's remarks , John Kerry's remarks all meant to provide our enemies with propaganda and to demoralize our troops and population. Even last week we have James Brolin directing viewers of "The View" to visit yet another 911 conspiracy site. This is the next objective of the leftists, to twist reality into fiction and get as many to believe that we weren't even attacked. What is the objective? Talk about Orwellian tactics.
Bottom line, who gives a crap about this latest childish nonsense. I never have seen so many Americans act to childish, so petty, so selfish. Is this today's AMerica, a country of selfish, spineless complainers or are we the Americans I've always thought we were, innovators, risk takers, selfless, brave, prosperous, capitalists, patriotic, protectors of liberrty, th emost powerful nation on this planet that is only bound by the imagination of the human soul.....The Amercian public and Congress suffer no loss with the departure of McKinney
Meanwhile George Tenet's book is coming out where he claims to have told Bush, Cheney and Rummy that most of the sources of the Intelligence on Iraq are questionable. Valerie Plame was the person in charge of verifying and she found nothing. Whoops! Someone leaked your identity! Whosever bad that was, was supposed to be fired and it wasn't JUST Libby. Just so we are on the same page, I did not invent one instance of what I am writing about. Just because you chose to ignore what was going on is no blank check to deny what has been reported.
