Since I am sure that I am not the only one at Gather who has received this plea for my hard earned money, I am posting this email, which I received after an intial love letter type email. I do not know this person and have since blocked further email, but I thought I would give other unsuspecting Gatherers a heads up. If you know anything else that I can do, or if you received one-leave a comment please :)

How are you doing, your job, and you family? hope they are all doing great! I do read your articles on gather....And I appreciate you good work! keep it up!! and more grease to your elbow!! Hope there is no problem since I have not heard from you, even if you login, you have not sent me any mail!

It is my pleasure to write you this mail. There was a burden in my heart that I have been carrying for some time now!
Actually, I don't know how am going to tell you or put it to you, what am passing through and facing right now! but, I just have to tell you and open-up my mind to you!
It is not my wish to inconvinient you or offend you in any way! And how I wish you could understand me!
I have to leave London, to Nigeria last week to check my mother who has been admitted to the hospital for past three weeks. She was 67yrs old. And she was suffering from Parkinson's Diseases.
She was diagnosed in 2000 but, she was able to continue working until 2004. there are times when she's fairly mobile and other times, when the medication isn't working or isn't working well.
I have spent a lot of money and all what I have on this illness! and to pay for the hospital bills as well...even the entire members of the family also contributed financially to this! but, the illness still persist.
The Doctor said, she is going to be operated on...if she want to survive! And it's going to cost us some amount of money!! I don't want her to die now..
Therefore, I am using this opportunity to appeal to you, to please help me financially, with any amount you can afford, so that the operation can commence shortly, and she should survive and life a normal life again.
I will be greatful, if my request is granted! and accepted!! I pray that God will continue to bless you and enrich your pocket. I wish you all the best in all your endeavour!

Respond to them and tell them that if they had spelled better, you would have given them money. But since they lack the brain or a 5th grader, you were forced to have to decline the request.
