Human trafficking generates $9.5 Billion annually!

As a member of CARE2  I am sharing this petition with anyone who would consider signing and fighting this discusting activity..personally, I believe it is worse than drug traffic...Thank you in advance, for taking the time to consider signing:

The FBI estimates that human trafficking generates $9.5 billion annually. This helps fuel organized crime and is closely related to money laundering and drug trafficking. 

But the people most damaged by human trafficking are the 2 million children enslaved in the sex-tourism industry.

The child sex-tourism industry caters to pedophiles preying on the world's poorest children. These children are severely wounded physically and emotionally. Many acquire diseases such as HIV/AIDS, and almost all experience rejection by their families and communities in addition to fear, shame and despair.

In 2003 Congress passed The Protect Act that made it illegal to sexually exploit children overseas. However, this a global problem that cannot be solved by just making it illegal. Without increased resources to support efforts to identify and prosecute perpetrators sex trafficking of children will continue.
