Dear Gather Suggestion person in the sky:

I think it would be awesome...if we had the ability to edit our own comments. There is nothing more embarassing to type and impassioned posted only to discover you mistyped a word and it changes the whole tone of your post.

I understand you can delete it....but it is not the same.

Is there any hope for the type challenged commenters?

I know the feeling. I hate it when you notice the mistake after posting the comment.

Several times I have deleted and then reposted my own comments -- it's super easy; just copy the comment, delete the messed up original, paste the comment into a new window, fix it, and repost. Voila! It's a little clunky, but it works just fine. :-)
