how long has Glenn beck been on CNN?
he sounds exactly like O'reilly.
He's talking about "cutting through the spin," which he intends to do through "explaining why these stories are made for you."
and he just said, Quote, "P-O'd"
like pissed off, but how middle school kids say it.
All he ever talks about is how insane muslims are. thats the only thing he's talked about it three shows i've seen. and how secularists are murdering christianity in america. I also saw him ask a muslim senator "how do we know that you arent working with the enemy?"
mostly he's an idiot and annoying, but he's also really fox newsy. He's interpreting the news for everyone and doing everything he can to get us all really scared of muslims.
at least he makes it even more easy to put an end to the "liberal media bais" myth.
but seriously, he must be taken off the air. he's like a hannity or O'reilley but not as good at what he does.
so how long has he had a show? a long time? I heard him say he is a talk show host. he definately sucks on camera.

I'm fairly conserative and could care less about Glenn Beck or Sean. Sometimes Rush is brilliant, so he's ok. Boortz is starting to wear on my nerves, but not ready to tune him out yet. Sean is by far the worst.
See that... and you would have never guessed it.
If you listen to his radio show, he will tell you that you need to listen to him for at least 6 weeks before you get him. It didn't take that long but there is a learning curve.
Bite your tongue for comparing him to O'Reilly. And he and Hannity do entirely different types of shows although all three are conservative. And Beck isn't a republican either.
I notice all the anti-fox people complain about Hannity distorting news and putting in his own opinions, but don't complain about Colmes. Admittedly, Fox probably did hire the wussiest liberal on the planet, but he's still attempting to do the same thing.
Hannity and Colmes weren't meant to be hard news - they were meant to be opinion news. I think it's a take off of Crossfire. I loved that show, back when it was good. But it wasn't for news, it was for entertainment.
MSM is only as Liberal as need be so Fox can claim them so ... so that dupes, that want Liberal news/comment/whatever, will watch MSM and think they are getting Liberal ... all the while the things that really count have their conservative twist/spin/lies !
It is the same type interests that own and control all of our major media outlets, including the book publishing houses, the Hollywood industry and what have you that we all get our concepts of 'proper' thought from. It is the multinational corporate structure that has designs on the entire world under their own version of one world government. They have been working on this for eons and their greatest strength is anonymity as they work behind the known structures ... and convince you all that all conspiracy is fringe theory ... but they also give you soaps, MTV, sports and whatever will keep you ENTERTAINED so you will never think to question the hand that feeds you ...
There is Fox
There are 5000 AM radio stations controlled by one family, Mays in TX, Clear Channel. Clear Channel also owns Premier Networks the outfit that books all the conservative talent for the 5000 stations.
Their talking points come from Conservative think tanks,
CATO, Ruper Murdoch once was on the board there, Heritage, Heartland,
dozens, many supported by the Koch brothers who founded CATO and the very famous PNAC, birthplas and training school of the Neocons of the Bush team. look them up. There has been billions spent turing this nation so far to the right. It is very ordered and like you say behind the scenes, but it is not hollywood.

Damn, i've been leaving mormons out of the whole anti-islamic movement, since my family and everyone i ever knew till i was 18 was mormon and i like to think of them as more enlightened than that. I guess the real reason most utah mormons are somewhat uninvolved or uninterested in the debate because they are very apocalyptic in their views. They aren't concerned about islam taking over the world because God is at the helm...
but that explains his issues with separation of church and state.
its easy to mistake him for a republican because he is clearly so pro-christian - but, thats only because sometimes its easy to forget that there are religious and E.F., i fail to see where anyone is "seeking censorship." I think he doesnt deserve the show because it was awkward - it seemed very surprising that there isn't a person who could do a better job. But I can take nanci's advice and see if his style grows on me.

But most conservative talk show radio personalities that I am aware of, are not in tune with my genetic code it seems. In fact neither is the stuff on the 'other' side where there is always 'contesting' and 'gotcha' stuff ... all too much offensive commotion for my tastes.
